Travelling by train

Due to an unexpected change of plan by Public Transport Victoria, trains will NOT be available to Melbourne Showgrounds. We apologise for any inconvience but the organisers were not made aware of this change of decision until 7 October 2015.

For further transport options including an A-B journey planner, please visit Public Transport Victoria.

Public Transport Victoria regrets to advise that there will be no special trains scheduled to run into the Showgrounds over this weekend as had been previously organized by Exhibitions Pty Ltd.

However, there are 4 additional trams been planned to run from 9am to 7pm each day to assist with the normal timetabled Route 57 which will run from Elizabeth Street / Flinders Street to Melbourne Showgrounds in a 4-5 minute frequency.

Public Transport Victoria suggests visitors board a Craigieburn train (20 minute frequency) from either Flinders Street, Southern Cross Station or North Melbourne Stations, alight at Newmarket Station to catch the tram 57 to the Showgrounds which is less than 5 minute journey.

See their website for travel planning.
